Saturday: Memorial for teacher at La Entrada
Picetti family establishes college fund

Bookmark and Share
A memorial service will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, for Jason Picetti, the La Entrada Middle School teacher who died Oct. 13 after a long illness. He was 42.

The memorial will be held at the school, located at 2200 Sharon Park Road in Menlo Park.

At his family's request, a college fund has been created for Mr. Picetti's daughter.

A letter from friends said the medical bills and long-term costs of supporting Mr. Picetti, who had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, had devastated the family's finances.

Checks payable to "Vanguard 529 College Savings Plan" may be mailed to his wife Fehmeen at La Entrada Middle School, 2200 Sharon Park Road, Menlo Park CA 94025.

The family has also asked that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Las Lomitas Education Foundation.
