Portola Valley: Fallen tree blocks roadway

Santa Maria Avenue in Portola Valley (#40 and above) is blocked due to a large tree that had fallen on the roadway, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office reported at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.

A detour has been established through the "gates" between Hayfield Road and Russell Avenue.

The Sheriff's Office said it does not know when the roadway will reopen.
