Friday Farmers Market

The 17th annual Arts & Olive Festival will be held at Canada College and feature olive, tapenade and olive oil tastings; live blues music; arts and crafts vendors; a children's area; and more. For the second year, Steins Beer Garden & Restaurant and partners will hold an Oktoberfest event with dozens of beers available, German food from local vendors, and live music and entertainment. Oktoberfest Redwood City
Oktoberfest Redwood City will a create a traditional German Oktoberfest setting with plenty of family-style bench seating, music, dancing, contests, cold beer, food and more. The entrance fee for those over 21 includes a commemorative stein and one drink ticket. Oct. 11, 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. $15 general; $10 child or designated driver. Woodside Farmers' Market
The weekly market features organic fruits and vegetables, farm eggs, nuts, dried fruits, honey, olive oil, local seafood, oysters, handmade sausages, vegetarian salads and entrees, organic pasta and sauces, nut butters, vegan cheeses, jams and pickles, bakery and crafts. The farmers' market at the Portola Valley Town Center features organic fruit and vegetables, free range eggs, fair trade coffee, wild and local seafood, hot free range rotisserie chickens, local honey, organic olive oil, gluten-free baked goods, nuts and nut butters, pickles, jerky, artisan breads, flowers, crafts and music. At this monthly event, the Garden Court Hotel will offer a six course pre fixe menu with cocktails and wine pairings. The chef will speak about each course, sharing his ideas and resources.
