Community Events51st annual Kings Mountain Art Fair
More than 135 juried artists will come together for this art fair in the redwoods above Woodside. Proceeds from the event will benefit Kings Mountain's volunteer fire brigade and elementary school. Community Events'Containers of Community' closing celebration
The Palo Alto Art Center will hold a closing celebration for artist in residence Ehren Tool's exhibit, "Containers of Community." Tool will give out to veterans and community members the hundreds of ceramic cups with images exploring the experience of war, which he made at the center. Community Events43rd Mountain View Art & Wine Festival

Multifaith Voices for Peace and Justice will hold a candlelight vigil to mark the International Day of Peace (Sept. 21) and begin Campaign Nonviolence, a national week of action. There will be a free series of weekly public showings of DVDS of recent talks by Thich Nhat Hanh, a Vietnamese Zen master, on "Living and Dying." The second two DVDS will be shown on Tuesdays.
